Being part of The Beaver is something that is hard to put into words. It takes over your whole life before you truly understand what is happening… and the Media Centre becomes a part of your daily routine just as much as your bed is. This year has been crazy, life-changing and oh-so-beautiful.

There are few places at LSE that harbour art and creativity, but I have had the joy to see them bloom and expand this year (The Beaver’s Part B and Review sections, LSESU Visual Arts Society, LSESU Drama Society, Clare Market, Pulse, LSESU Music Society). I feel so lucky to have witnessed this fervour of LSE students to cultivate something that was once hidden in the shadows.

I have had the opportunity to be the Editor of Part B this year, and it has been an amazing experience. I am proud of how much Part B has evolved and grown. I feel that it is now something that students know about.

More than anything, I feel like I have succeeded in my desire to make Part B a safe haven for students that wanted to try their hand at poetry, at writ- ing or at creating art. But also, in making Part B a stage for experienced poets, writers, and artists who want to share their creations with the world (of LSE). And finally, in offering a place to discuss all things arts and cul- ture. It has felt exhilarating to be able to do so.

I cannot wait to see where Anouk Pardon will take Part B next year and I am very excited for what’s to come next year for me as Flipside Editor.

Thank you to all the contributors for their dedication, their hard work and for sharing their art with us. Their works can be found on The Beaver website.
