Despite the UK government’s decision to lift the current Plan B COVID restrictions on the 26th of January, LSE has decided to retain the majority of current COVID measures on campus with the exception of a few changes to mask wearing and testing access rules.
Masks will continue to be required in confined spaces such as elevators and all classrooms, unless medically exempt. Mask wearing is no longer required, but strongly encouraged, in all other areas. Students will now be required to provide evidence of a negative COVID lateral flow test within the last four days in order to gain testing access on campus.
Current protocols will remain in effect until 31 January, while the new protocols will be in effect until 20 February. A review of the measures is expected on 14 February.
