Pride #2: Being LGBTQ+ at LSE, with Thiago Pontes

“I just don’t want any student to feel the way I felt, isolated or marginalised, and that’s what moves me. I want LGBTQ+ students to, when they look into universities, consider LSE because it will be the best place for LGBTQ+ students. And when I hear that some of our work is actually working, it’s really rewarding.” – Thiago Pontes, LGBTQ+ Officer.

In this episode of our Pride series, we look back at our interview with Thiago Pontes, the LSESU LGBTQ+ officer for the academic year of 2020-2021. Thiago shared with us his efforts as an officer, but also his own experience as an LGBTQ+ LSE student.

Presented and produced by Beatriz Silva and Clara Castello.

Available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
