LSESU “very pleased” with nominations turnout

The LSESU MT Elections nomination period closed today, seeing 93 nominees across the categories up for election.

Union management and officers had set a goal of 50 nominees. The turnout of 93 thus vastly exceeded expectations.

LSESU Democracy Committee UGM Chair Josh Freeman said to The Beaver that the SU is “very pleased” with the number of nominees.

Further details and number of nominees per category will be released when campaigning starts, on Wednesday 23rd at Midday.

Voting will take place between 28 and 31 October, with results being announced on Thursday 31st of October.
