LSE Limelight #13: Refugee Week

“We are [also] focusing on refugees and asylum seekers in detention centres in the UK, and we are doing this because this is an issue that so many people don’t know much about. The UK is the only country that has indefinite detention, no other European countries have this.” – Lauren DarwentPresident of LSESU STAR.

In this episode of LSE Limelight, we talk to Lauren Darwent about the upcoming Refugee Week, which will take place from the 16th to the 20th of March. We talk about this year’s theme “Different Pasts, Shared Futures”, what kind of issues STAR is addressing in this edition of Refugee Week and LSE student’s response to this initiative.

Presented and produced by Beatriz Silva.
